Submit an essay honoring a local veteran and they will receive a FREE MEAL! We are grateful for our partnering organizations and the ongoing work they are doing in support of our veteran community.
If you have a friend or family member who has served, take a few minutes to write a 300-500 word essay about your favorite veteran submit it to the Veteran’s Tribute Essay Contest. We will pick a winner of the essay contest, and will send a voucher for a free meal to all participants. See the flyer above for the contest requirements.
How to submit
- Send an email to team@onewintersprings.com
- Subject Line: “Veteran’s Essay Contest Submission”
- Include a) the essay author’s name, b) relation to the veteran, c) the veteran’s name and d) a contact phone number in the body of the email
- Attach the 300-500 word essay as a Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx) or .pdf file
- Submissions must be received by November 1, 2023
NOTE: if you experience email issues, or have a handwritten essay, you may hand-deliver the essay and information above to the VFW Post 5405
