ALERT: ‘Tuscawilla Tax’ to be doubled!

Many of you have supported us in the past, and I need your help again.

We just got notice that the City is about to double the Tuscawilla Tax — the special maintenance assessment tax that pays for our landscaping/fountains upkeep. They’re moving fast on this, even before they respond to our public records requests on a range of budget issues.

THE MEETING IS SCHEDULED FOR 9/9 AT CITY HALL

This is part of a disturbing pattern. City Hall has:

  • Drastically increased trash rates, stockpiling the surplus.
  • Approved water and sewer hikes that will continue to increase for years.
  • Quietly piled on stormwater fees and now this Tuscawilla assessment.

It’s death by a thousand fees. And every time, the Mayor brags about “not raising the millage rate” — while sticking residents with higher and higher bills through the back door.

At the TLBD meeting, the Mayor showed up to create a sense of emergency, and then told people on social media to “take a deep breath,” and when the backlash grew, he threw TLBD board members under the bus to cover himself.

Whether you live in Tuscawilla or not, this is the same shell game affecting every household in Winter Springs, and your neighborhood could be next. We need to send a clear message: enough is enough.

👉 Please click here >> to fill out this form and TELL the commissioners not to double the Tuscawilla Tax.

Thanks for standing with us to stop these hidden tax hikes and demand real transparency.

Indeed, ENOUGH is ENOUGH already! Another expensive SLUSH FUND! City should be cutting expenses across to board but the OPPOSITE is happening…
    NOT SUSTAINABLE!
